New Wholesale Supplies Option for Crafters and Handmakers Opens

A new resource in the US has just opened up allowing crafters and other small business owners to buy their supplies at wholesale prices.

Regardless of what you make, if you can't source your supplies at a low enough cost, you can't earn a profit or grow.

In the last year, getting materials and supplies has become even more challenging with shipping costs going up.

Another issue that keeps many makers from buying direct from manufacturers is high minimum orders.

JOANN, the popular crafts retailer in North America, announced the opening of Inspiration Direct https://www.inspirationdirect.com/ wholesale buying portal for crafting supplies.

Because of its existing network of stores,  buying power, and warehouse space, JOANN is positioned to offer a huge inventory of supplies at wholesale.

To qualify for a wholesale account at Inspiration Direct, you'll need an EIN number and physical address.

If you want terms, like 30 days net, be prepared for a credit check.

Currently, the minimum order is only $50, which is well under what you might pay to buy wholesale from a manufacturer or distributor.

Inspiration Direct is open and taking orders now but the official opening is December, 2022.

According the JOANNs CEO, they are committed to making the new wholesale site be a success.

I for one, am happy for this new option. I work with a wide variety of supplies that I often have bought from a JOANN retail store because I needed it right away and they offer frequent discounted pricing. Now I can get even lower prices on those materials.

The more you can save on your material costs, the more options you have for expansion, like running ads or selling wholesale to stores.
